Pressure from foreign buyers prepared to buy any or everything over the past two years have been instrumental in forcing prices upwards. If you are an owner this is rather a nice situation but if you are shopping for a home under the Spanish sun it simply means that you are going to pay more for your property. Although the effect of higher prices for Spanish property have largely been offset by a strengthening pound, the fact is that many have to lower their sites if they are to achieve their aims.
