Coast on the Costa Blanca

With over 315 days each year of sunshine and miles of broad, silver beaches it is not surprising that the Costa Blanca is increasingly becoming a most sought after destination in Spain for foreign visitors.

The geographical area of the Costa Blanca stretches from Denia to La Manga, this is a few miles past Torrevieja.

The "White Coast" boasts some of the best beaches in southern Spain, dotted with lively coastal towns and villages.

Even today, it is still possible to find deserted or secluded bays and beaches along this coast.

The Costa Blanca, or White Coast, has two very different landscapes. In the north, mountains occupy a considerable part of the coast, with cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean sea. In the south the terrain is entirely different, formed of flat plains, endless silver beaches, palm trees and lakes.

The Costa Blanca plays host to a multitude of different nationalities, all of whom live harmoniously, adding to the attraction for the foreign visitor..

Entertainment is abundant and within easy reach of everyone on the Costa Blanca. For those with an interest in sport there exists an endless variety including scuba diving, tennis, water skiing, horse riding, archery, clay pigeon shooting and golf.

But not only are adults well catered for on the Costa Blanca. Increasing recognition for the needs of children have seen the introduction of theme parks, water sports, fair grounds, gocarting and a host of other activities, all calculated to keep most children safe, happy and occupied.

Without doubt - when it comes to family holidays, the "White Coast" is without equal.

With its white beaches, relatively low costs in relation to other parts of Spain, and a coastline still relatively unspoiled by Costa del Sol standards, its not surprising that increasing amounts of holidaymakers and homebuyers are making the Costa Blanca their primary Spanish destination.
