On behalf of my colleagues, let me welcome you to Spain and to the Spanish Property ABC's web site - a web site up to date, not out of date. My name is Roberto Garcia - among many other things, I look after the Spanish Property Portfolio, liaise with clients and arrange inspection visits for them.

Ask anyone, regardless of their nationality, why Spain? and you'll be given every answer "under the sun"! Without doubt, Spain´s climate and "laid back" way of life are the primary reasons for well over one and a half million foreigners now owning property - not just on the many Spanish coasts but throughout Spain.

Year on year this amount is increasing, as more people, mainly from the colder climates of Northern Europe, go in search of the sun.

Now, read on - perhaps it's your turn!

Whether your intention is to move to Spain permanently or simply to buy a holiday home for the use of you and your family, the information contained within this web site is more than adequate to ensure that you do so with the minimum of expense, stress and inconvenience. It does however require reading - and there is a lot to read. . . . .

Not surprisingly, one of Spanish Property ABC's most visited web pages concerns the Spanish weather. Here you can find weather information for several Spanish locations displayed continuously and simultaneously in real time.

When it comes to foreign property owners, the British are by far the single largest group. Include the considerable amount of owners from the Republic of Ireland and its not too difficult to understand why in some parts of Spain, Spanish is almost the first language!

Since the World Health Organisation described the Costa Blanca as being "environmentally perfect", it has become one of the most sought after locations for foreigners looking for a home under the sun. It has, in common with most other parts of Spain, also seen sharp increases in property values and prices, as an increasing amount of buyers scramble for decreasing amounts of property.

With Spain's climate so different to that which is common in northern European countries, the demand for Spanish sunshine is at an all time high - and likely to remain that way if the 60 million tourists and one and a half million foreign residents are to be believed!

The days of Spain being a cheap country and eking a living out of package holidays have long since gone. Today Spain is a vibrant, modern democratic country occupying its rightful place within the European Union.

Apart from the considerable amount of tourists each year, the vast amount of foreigners with an interest in Spain fall into two categories. These are:

1. Those with a holiday home which they visit regularly
2. The foreigner, for whom Spain is his primary residence

If your interests concern either of the above, this web site has been written specifically for you and the many others like you who are contemplating either a holiday home or permanent move to the Spanish Sun.

Included within this site is information on a wide variety of subjects among which can be found, health, education, cars, taxation, employment, weather, climate, property buying, selling and leasing and much much more. What once would have represented several weeks or perhaps even longer in research can now be accomplished in a fraction of the time without having to leave the Spanish Property ABC web site.

If you are looking for a home under the Spanish sun we can help. In the final analysis, the success of your Spanish venture will be determined by a variety of factors, among which and probably the most important is how well you do your homework.
We'll help, by making sure that you are in possession of all the information you require before you commit to purchase and if you do, will be available long after with all the support you need.

This site will supply you with the answers to many of your questions and hopefully create even more, so that eventually you can safely decide whether or not the blue skies of Spain and its seemingly endless sunshine are for you.

This is quite a large site - it has to be if we are to supply the service that you need! It's all here if you can find it. To make this as easy as possible we have a comprehensive site directory, complete with its own search engine. The directory is one click from any page on this site - just click on directory at the foot of any page. We have set this site up so that it can be browsed from start to finish, with each page linked to the next. We have avoided the use of multi-layered directories.

Each page has a mail box. Use this for any contact reason including requesting inspection visits. If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask them. We'll get back to you with the answers as soon as possible.

If you want the answer really quickly, simply click on any of the "talk to me buttons" when a live operator will be able to chat to you. This latter part of our service is not manned for 24 hours a day although this is the intention eventually.

Finally, thank you for visiting our web site. We hope it will be of assistance to you, that you enjoy your visit and that one day we may be of service to you. Any constructive criticism is always welcome. If telephoning, please ask for me personally.

If you visit Spain, I look forward to meeting you.
